Skin Care

The natural skin care product phenomenon is becoming more and more popular. Is there really something to the natural skin care product idea or is it just a way for companies to get people to buy what they are selling? How much of a difference will you see if you use a natural skin treatment product instead of your usual skin care product? You actually will notice that your skin looks better and your overall health will be better.
Skin care is the care of the skin using herbs, roots, essential oils and flowers combined with naturally occurring carrier agents, preservatives, surfactants, humectants and emulsifiers . Skin care is based on using botanically sourced ingredients currently existing in or formed by nature, without the use of synthetic chemicals, and manufactured in such a way to protect the reliability of the ingredients.
Many people who use skin care products, generally make their own products at home. While there are many wives' tales surrounding the benefits of certain ingredients, scientific studies have proven that such ingredients as Chamomile have demonstrated healing and anti-inflammatory properties when applied topically. Many people use natural skin care recipes to make remedies to care for their skin at home. Many spas and skin care salons now focus on using more naturally derived skin care products. Over the past ten years, a number of companies have been started to make available completely natural products to the general public.
Some of the so-called natural skin treatment product lines actually have only a small percentage of natural ingredients. You will have to read the labels very carefully before buying skin care products to see what ingredients they contain. You will easily be able to tell the unnatural ingredients because their names are going to be a mile long. Anytime you have concerns about an ingredient, contact the company that makes the product to get more of an explanation from them.
Any good organic skin treatment product in the United States will be certified organic by the FDA. Other countries such as China and countries in Europe are creating their own national standard setting groups to regulate products. For example, in France natural skin treatment products have to be regulated by the IFOAM (International Federation of Agricultural Methods). France actually has stricter standards than the FDA in the US does.
